Chocolate Cake..

Believe it or not...Me @ orang yang sangat tak suka masuk dapur dengan terernya telah berjaya memasak sebijik chocolate cake...but i guna cara yang senang laa, i stim the cake instead of bakar...kalau bakar confirm akan hangus..heheheh...

And Alhamdulillah sedap jugak kek tu (puji diri sendiri ni..hehehe).....Mashie, my sis in law brought the cake to her office and ada jugak yg puji masakanku itu...tak sangka ekk...hehehe..

Walaupun physically nampak sangat tak cantik, tp cuba dulu baru tau...hehehhe..don't judge a book by its cover ya...

Thanks to Mama Doyee yang membakar semangatku...mama doyee sangat rajin dalam bab masak2 ni...so, i yg duduk sebelah dia kat ofis nih pun jadi bersemangat jugak bila tgk dia rajin betul masak itu ini...

The truth is i'm not a "dapur" person...tak caye tanyalaa uj @ my hubby...i start learning to cook only after i got married...and my cooking so-so laa...but still "eatable" laa....Masa baru2 kawin tu i printed lots and lots and lots of recipes online..itu belum masuk buku masakan yg di beli lagi...maklumla, baru kawin, so, bersemangat laa nak tunjuk skill dekat husband...and happen to be my husband ni pulak memang pakar mengkritik (well...i asked him to comment on my cooking laaa coz i need to know whether ok or not..)...everyday akan ada laa komen2 dia like "tak cukup garam laa" or "banyak sangat santanlaa.."or banyak sangat cili laa"....but walaupun banyak komen he still ate whatever i cooked...and that makes me love him more...hihihi...

I will definitely going to improve myself in cooking....!!!!!!!! Positive thinking...!!

Cubaan untuk berdiri..

Fawwaz is going to be 11 months old tomorrow (28 Nov 07). Time flies , huh...!Rasanya macam baru aje lagi habis pantang lepas bersalin...sometimes i can still feel ngilu2 kesan operate tu...and now..look at Fawwaz.. dah ada unsur2 nak berjalan dah..Giginya sudah 6 batang...merangkak pun dah terer...Memanjat takyah cakapla..dia punya lagak macam superhero..dinding pun boleh jadi tempat nak panjat...kiranya ala2 Spiderman gitu...nampak aje kecik budak nih tp banyak aje akalnye....

Kalau dah start bercakap..Ya Ampun...pok..pek..pok..pek..boleh tahan jugak bising mulut budak kecik ni...agaknyer ikut mama dia laa...kalau ikut abahnya mesti senyap punye...hehehe..
Tapi dia ni pandai, kalau time nak main dia takkan cari mama...dia main dgn abah..kalau time berak, nak susu or nak tido barulaa terhegeh2 cari Mama...isk..isk...kesian Mama..

Mama Doyee dan Kek Pisangnya..

Akhirnya Mama Doyee berjaya baked sebijik kek pisang utk dimkn oleh kami2 yang sentiasa bersedia saja menerima makanan2 percuma ni...happen to be i was fasting on that day..tp takpe coz yang balance orang tak habis makan tu semua i bawak balik rumah...even sempat lagi bagi my mom rasa sikit hasil tangan mama doyee tu..

Yang special about kek pisang ni is mama doyee ada letak kulit limau to make the cake more crunchy...i like crunchy2 ni but sorry yaa mama doyee coz mama kulin tak berapa suka kek yg ada kulit limau nih..hehehhe...walopun tak suka kulit limau tapi i makan jugak kek tu sampai habis..hehehe..

Ini lah dia hasil air tangan Mama Doyee...

Another Birthday Party!! Hakeem is officially 5 years old on 17 Nov 2007. But if u know my anak sedare nih he is more like budak umur 10 years..not because of his physical appearance but because of the way he think & talk..Jangan berani berjanji or say anything yang tidak sepatutnyer to him as he will remember every single word that comes out from your mouth...

When we reached the birthday boy's house, it was quite a crowd there...in fact kitorang sampai agak lambat coz kami baru sampai from Terengganu at 2.30pm..and the party is at 4pm...by da time kitorang sampai semua dah habis nyanyi2 & dah potong the spongebob cake..

I oso tak sempat to buy any gift for Hakeem so terpaksa S.O.S my sista, Nani to buy the gift on her way to the party...kalo tak beli nanti si kecik tu akan mengungkit pulak...hehhehe..i asked Nani to buy 1 aquarium kecik and a few ekor ikan...(but before that i dah mintak permission from my sis in law laa...takut pulak diorang tak allow Hakeem bela any pet...hihihihi)...It turn our Hakeem lovesss the gift (Thank God...hehehe...i memang tak pandai beli gift for kanak2)...but hopefully this time the fishes hidup lebih lama laa..coz last year his mom sudah beli ikan pasal konon2 dia nak bela pet..but after 1 week (or is it less than a week..?) ikan semua mati coz of overfeeding..

All foods served are makanan kanak2 like chocolate, sumi jelly manis, sweets, kacang, drummet, nuggets...hhmm...semua makan yg akan menggemukkan lagi diriku yg sudah gemuk ini...isk..isk...but i dont care...i ate 6 or 7 drummets i think...and lotssss of sumi jelly...hehehhe..and we oso tapau back the sumi and sweets..hehehe..

Yeay...banyaknya hadiah!! Tengokla budak yang pakai t-shirt hijau tu...that is Faris (oso my anak sedare)...he was sooooooo busy heellllpppiinnnggg out Hakeem...he was more excited than Hakeem when it comes to bukak hadiah ni..hehehe..

Our "Uncle Taiwan", CK dengan baik hatinya telah meng'arrange'kan pembelian birthday cake for Jay from the famous Secret Recipe...and YES...it's my favorite, Choc Indulgence...

Well..since the sambutan was done at the office, so, only a few of us dapat join in menyanyi2 lagu 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY' as the rest are busy with works...but all of us did enjoy the delicious, yummy, creamy, 'thicky' chocolate cake.

Cuba teka how old is our Jay Sim?? Hehehe...count the candle plizz...

That's my boss, the birthday boy who pura2 terkejut when we brought the cake to him... :)

Pak Engku's Open House..

Date: 3 Nov 2007

Venue: Pak Engku's house, Sek 9, Kota Damansara

Note: Pak Engku is my DAD! :)

My mom estimated around 170 guests to come on that day..but i think yg datang is more or less around 200++ guests...macam kenduri kahwin pulak...Anyway, the majlis was a SUCCESS...Alhamdulillah, the food sangat sedap. Nasi Dagang & Soto were prepared by Mama (with the help of Che Yah-my auntie specially imported from T'ganu....& Nas-my mom's maid). Spaghetti disediakan by Kak Zura, my sis in law. Nasi beriyani & satay we outsource from a very reliable service provider. Thanks to our Nasi Beriyani provider who also menghadiahkan 3 types of kuih for the majlis. My mom in law, the Queen of Cook also contributed her triffle (betul ke spelling ni..hehehe..) & bihun goreng. Kak Ana (another sis in law) brought a very rich, creamy, moist chocolate cake. And Mama also tempah another chocolate cake (not so moist..utk orang2 yang menjaga kesihatan...hehehe), kek lapis, tepung pelita & kuih cara berlauk. As for me & uj, we contributed our ENERGY...That morning, when we saw the foods & kuih-muih, we bet akan ada banyak yang lebih...but suprisingly about 90% of it habis...

I'm so happy to see Mama & Abah HAPPY...

It was great to see our family members & friends berkumpul..chit-chatting...laughing..having a great time...eventhough it rain twice thru out the majlis but still we enjoyed ourselves. I didn't manage to take banyak photos coz busy helping out and taking care of 'lil Fawwaz.

A big THANX to my handsome, macho & rajin HUBBY who has been working hard for the majlis from the nite before till the nite after the majlis ends..from memasang khemah, to arranging the tables & chairs, to mengangkat lauk pauk and ensure all foods/drinks being refilled, to mengangkat pinggan, gelas yang kotor and bersih...he really has bakat to open a catering business..hmm...that's an IDEA...perhaps one day....who knows kan.. :)

Here is 'Lil Fawwaz and his girlfriend, Safiyyah..with the maids...kecik-kecik dah ada girlfriend...hehehe..Safiyyah is actually Fawwaz's cousin..

Towards the end of the majlis only i manage to take photo wif my friends (ofismates) yang still setia waiting for me...The one wearing the cap is Jason Siah Chin Hon, the one with rambut cacak is Jason Sim Chin Hoong & the 'pakcik' there is Ngoo Chuan Kheong...arghh...look at my tired face....

Alhamdulillah that all went well....Hopefully kepada semua yang datang on that day are satisfied with our 'service' and food...Halalkan apa yang terkurang ya..

Retro Nite..

I've been working with OCBC for 3 years++ already but this is the 1st time that i finally able to attend our Annual Dinner..And this year the theme is RETRO REVIVAL...Think of Saloma hairstyle, or those John Travolta bell bottom trousers...do u think me @ Mama Fawwaz gonna wear all that?? Then, think again coz ...you are WRONG...hihihi....I ended up wearing a simple blouse i got from M&S with jeans....as known to most of my friends, MAKAN is more important to me than dressing up...hehehe..Besides, i was extraordinarily HUNGRY that evening (skip my lunch that afternoon coz too bz melayan tetamu at our family's open house--will blog about this later).


Jason, Jay & CK came over to my house that petang to get ready for the dinner..FYI Jay's and Jason's hair got those blue colour glitter-glitter thingy...so stylo-mylo!!! But Uncle Taiwan @ Mr CK like usual laa..sweet & simple saja (sweet????? hahahahah)...

Mama Doyee's Open House..

That weekend we had about 4-5 open houses but manage to attend only 3 of it. Inila aktiviti di bulan Syawal...makan..menggemukkan badan...makan lg...menggemukkan badan lagi....and finally menambahkan lemak serta lapisan2 di perut....huhuhu..

Me & Fawwaz went to dolly's open house with Princess Intan...the funny thing is both of us perasan terer tak bawak the map to dolly's..in the end we end up going towards shah alam instead of Bangi...then we patah balik and go towards Cyberjaya using NKVE...when we reached the exit to cyberjaya we were like confused a bit on how to go to Bangi using that highway...and luckily Intan made the right decision, we patah balik and go to Sg Besi highway (the safest and easiest way to go to Bangi---coz both of us r familiar with this jalan)...hehehe...

Bila sudah sampai to Bangi, we sesat again....we turn here, turn there looking for the house...and after about 20 minutes i think we reached to the house safe and sound....and HUNGRY!!

Look at Fawwaz... a bit blur being surrounded by chinese speaking auntie & unclessss...especially when Auntie Yeong is speaking Mandarin to him..hahahha...i hope when he grows up he is able to learn Mandarin..
